Air bubbles in Davco 382 - hard starting series 60

    Where is this o ring are you talking about of the filter where the drain valve is if not please send a picture. I would like to fix this problem I think it is air because one day i started cold with either an no smoke till it burned off.

    That's the thing it doesn't matter how warm out it is, over night it will do this every single time. It could be 70-80 degrees it will still do it, but worse when it's cold.

    Ok mine is worse in colder temps lots of smoke an missing in temps below 30 smoke will clear after about 10 minutes but when first started smoke an missing an it will backfire if i push the pedal an hesitate to till it warms up you smell raw fuel an it burns your eyes

    Sounds like inj leak down. Take exhaust manifold off plug turbo pressure hose and crank you will find cylinder spitting raw fuel. Thats how I find it.

    This engine got detroit reman head injectors new injector harness new turbo ecm

    Two sets of injectors do the same thing? Also if I park it over night and pull the ecm fuse I get zero smoke.

    I have circuit breakers which one do i pull if thats the case its has to do with the computer

    Well there is a check valve in the return line on back of head replace it. It is probably letting fuel return back to the tank and leaving some fuel in front injectors.

    I have a new check valve will change it but we did put a straight elbow instead didnt change still ran the same

    There is drilled orfice there to keep pressure up
