Before I start throwing parts .When should a truck purge? My truck was purging every 25 sec.at 120 psi. and both needles would stay on 120. Just the other day it still purges at 120 psi BUT now the one needle goes to 100 to 90 psi. Compressor kicks on and purges at 120 psi. and starts all over. Thanks, what changed? And is this the way it's supposed to purge now?

Probably a line to the governor is bleeding off. I had a push-to-connect fitting cause that before.
If everything is good, ideally wouldn't purge every 20 minutes.

Your air system should purge every time your air system reaches 120psi. Your compressor should stop pumping at the same time. If your system is operating correctly it should be one crisp blow off. The air compressor shouldn’t start pumping again until The air system has dropped to 90 psi. The time is takes to drop to 90 psi depends on air usage and more often air leaks. Ideally the air pressure shouldn’t drop until you use you brakes or other accessory.
Without knowing how your system is set up (location of drier, compressor, governor, etc) and being able to listen for air leaks it’s hard to say what caused it to purge every 25 sec.
It sounds like your system is working correctly now.

I don't think so. Because as soon it purges at 125 one needle stays at 125 the other goes to 90 then compressor kicks on and it will do it all of he time now. It never acted like this before This is happening all at idle with no usage of brakes etc.

Because it's old technology. You said yourself you have to take the thing apart to change the filter. ADIS has a spin on desiccant which is also less expensive. Plus you can change the purge valve in about the same time as the filter. Smaller package. Less downtime, less cost to maintain without complete replacement.
