I'm a company driver with a 2016 Freightliner automatic. Thursday before parking at a company yard, one that does not have any repair facilities, it seemed to me that I was getting a low transmission air warnings and my brake pressure was low much more often. It was low so I let it idle till it was at full pressure then drove about 30 minutes . When I stopped I shut down for maybe a couple minutes and when I started back up everything was low again. I can't recall it going low so quickly before. I've been at home without the truck but I'm heading back out tomorrow. Is there some stupid easy reason it could be getting low so fast that I could fix myself or should I head someplace for repairs?

Also, you probably should have mentioned this to the company as it probably could have fixed while you were at home.AtticusRoad, Suspect Zero, Steel Tiger and 1 other person Thank this. -

Sounds like something you should be able hear if you can get somewhere quiet. Chock the wheels air it up good, release all brakes, put in drive, then turn it off and get out and start listening.
May be something simple. Maybe not. -
Get a spray bottle. Fill it with water and a splash of Dawn dishwashing soap. Spray down the hoses and connectors. Leaks will bubble. If you can hear the leak, but can't quite find it, a length of rubber hose works well as a stethoscope.
I'm guessing you have something fairly major give out. Something like a blown cab air bag (the two small air bags at the back of the cab).

Thanks for all the input. I thought it could be something like a loose shuttle #### but sounds much more than that. I'll keep a very close eye on it when I pick up the truck tomorrow and probably call roadside right away.

Seems like the lines going to the transmission leak alot. And if it's not that they run alot of the air lines up over that transmission where it's hard to get at anything.

Whoever invented push lock air fittings, or perhaps whoever decided that they have a place on a truck, should suffer a miserable death. Just my opinion.Lepton1 and kemosabi49 Thank this. -
That picture was from the Freightshaker Century Classic I used to drive. I now own a KW T2000, the one with the nice stainless steel bumper...you know, lipstick on a pig.ChaoSS Thanks this.
