    Hi all,

So the other night, i'm on the road and my airhorn starts going off non-stop, scared the living crap out of me. It wouldn't stop, so I took out the fuse. Couple days later, when I got back on the road, I put it back in, fine for a few minutes. And the #### thing starts going off again. Oh and i've got a '07 Volvo 780.

Can anyone tell me what could be the problem? Is it in the air bank or fuse issue or what?

Any advice, comment that could help me out would be greatly appreciated guys!!!

    Thanks a lot!

Wait...your air horn can be shut off by pulling a fuse? Since when do AIR horns use electric power?

My air horn is on the steering wheel like a regular car horn... I assume it trips some electrical switch that then triggers the air release to blow the horn... It's not something hanging down.

Which is kind of sad when kids give me the pumping arm motion to blow my air horn and I have nothing to pull... Just push the steering wheel... LOL

Ever since an engineer figured out it would be easier/cheaper to activate it with a solenoid switch rather than running a mechanical cable all that way.

And that's probably the problem. Bad switch.

Get a truck that has a pull for the valve. Problem solved!

Some truck brands have done that since back in the 70's

He clearly hasn't had the misfortune to drive that brand.

Actually I prefer the electric activated versions, it is right there on the steering wheel, a lot faster to get to. The KW 9 that I drive now is a pretty long reach and I'm six foot, always thought the center of the cab almost to the windshield was not real smart.
