Some of these new air horns are actually embarrassing. I drove one truck and it sounded like a sick electric horn. Had to pull over out of embarrassment.
KB3MMX and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this. -
I own one of those that I have been going to replace the horn, in my spare time, for 7 years. Maybe I will just put a rubber ball bicycle horn on the mirror, faster, louder, and less expensive. Ha buddy: If you can wiggle the steering wheel back and forth, or push and pull, and get the horn to go on and off it's in the column. It the horn won't go off unplug the harness from the column. If the horn stops it's in the column.

I will work on that... Need to hook up a braided leather piece to a spring and mount it over head... LOL

Along with a fake gear shifter for my air shifting.

There's a solenoid under the cab mounted to the frame it operates the horn, mine quit a few years back and the dealer replaced it, problem fixed. Mine has multiple solenoids mounted in the same spot (diff lock, axle lock, 5th wheel slide ... etc) depending on what options your truck is equipped with.

I drive a Prostar and the city horn is a joke. It sounds like a Japanese car horn!
