Rev up yer motor to 12 or 1500 n let 'er rip. The compressor will kick in at about 90-95 psi so you wont lose much in between, but keep in mind that if you have less air pressure than the tire it won't do anything. Yes it is the red line

It used to take me a long time also. Then I changed the air quick coupler size. Most of those hoses come with a m-style coupler that is too small and doesn't let air through fast enough.
I switched to the p-style, it has a much larger bore to let more air through. -
I bought some passive valve caps at Love's. Saves me a lot of time not having to remove and replace the caps. Especially the inner drives.

I'll tell ya. The outside temperature in the morning has a lot to do with the pressure. I've seen 10 to 15 psi difference between 35 and 60 degrees.

Many years ago I saw one of the old tubed tire with a lock ring go off like that. Nobody got hurt because the guy had the air locked on the filler valve. The ring knocked the hose off the valvestem as it went up. I still believe that ring went over 200feet into the air and landed on the roof of the business. The tube busted and the flap that goes between the innertube and the wheel missed me by about ten feet as it flew past me. I was standing about 20 feet away. I am so glad we use tubeless tires today, those dang lock ring tubed tires were dangerous to change.
