Anyone have a good recommendation for one of those air lines you can hook up to the glad hand and air up your tires?

I always just bought whatever the truckstop had. Like everything in trucking, some drivers will claim if you don't buy the one made by ABC or made of one particular material you might as well not even have the thing.
It is ALWAYS faster & .ore convenient to use an air compressor installed at a truck stop or shop than squat down beside that ow tire for 20 minutes waiting for your air compressor to boost tire pressure 25 psi. Some have a Chuck on the hose that doesn't require you to press it on the tire valve by hand. Shops use those air chucks.dave01282000 Thanks this. -
Truckstops have them.
I put one of them tire chucks on. So I don't have to be kneeled down.
The current truck says 130 on the gauges. But your lucky if you can get past 105 on the tires. So I just let er rip.tscottme, Oxbow, dave01282000 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I bought one at a truckstop and that cheap PVC hose didn't last. So I bought a good quality rubber hose at the hardware store. Also got rid of that short air chuck and got one of the log ones. Makes it a lot easier to air up tires. Also put quick disconnects on the end of the hose and the chuck so I could use other things if I ever needed to.

I made my own, purchased 50’ of rubber hose, glad hand, “Long air chuck” and quick disconnects. Had it over 40 years. AND, purchased a high quality air chuck gauge recently.

I bought one from a TA about ten years ago for like $60. I probably overpaid for it, but it still works fine.

Cut a small x in a tennis ball to put over the fitting on your airtank. To keep it clean from most road grit.
JolliRoger, Big Road Skateboard and dave01282000 Thank this.
