So far so good. Have been enrolled in AIT in las vegas for 10 weeks and so far so good the quality of instruction has been great and a eyeful and earfull so no complaints there. New students every two weeks in the class sometimes its a little difficult due to a new student starts on log books first day of class etc, little intimidating but all seem to get thru it and pass. I have had no real problems with class or homework instructors are more than knowledgable its a clean facility and the range and tractor trailers look ok but some senior students have complaints about them clutches etc but way i look at is hey look at what those units have to put up with day after day. in closing I say that the school is a good choice for me and have no regrets looking forward to the range and career

Well last week of classroom at ait in las vegas aslong as i pass final exam on friday then off to the range finally. The new dmv rules in las vegas are a pain but was able to take all 5 test today and passed them all. Anyone thinking of AIT in las vegas. be honest and upfront dont lie on paperwork if not sure ask! Get all your apps done as soon as possible, after a couple of weeks and you dont hear nothing call the companys yourself it worked for me had my prehires but school was backlogged but the companys i talked to faxed my prehires that day. As far as school dont think there is any better in Nevada. The movies that they show are outdated but information is still good. and what i have learned is BE PATIENT.
Baack and kickin chicken Thank this. -
well friday has come and gone went over the homework at ait, and some movies then it was on to the weekly exam and whew i passed with a 94.1 then after the break the final exam went to another room and took the 50 question final and passed with a 90.1 so off to the range i go

Well the two weeks on the range is over, so its on to shifters alley. Must say last nite on range was a challenge. Was in a differnt truck 3ft longer wheelbase and longer trailer, took a bit to get used to but was nice to be in a tractor where the clutch was smooth. The steering was what really got me was only two turns lock to lock, but went well, still studying pretrip inspections and brake test. So far so good and ait in las vegas was bes choice.

Still Ok no complaints, Have new instructor he is patient and knoledgeable and good teacher and it showed with all the new students he dealt with last night. Upshifting ok have to work on downshifts, will say grinning ear to ear when i drove on the highway what a rush.

well its wed. and last night was great drove the truck from the school and up on to the hiway and down the hiway and pulled into the new loves truck stop at the apex exit. I was the tenth customer at new stop, only been open one hr. During a little smoke break and the truckers seeing it was open it was filling quickly and it was great. and then drove back, must say I can finally say even though new i drove the truck on public roads and hiways I did it and it felt great, it sure beats fixing the trucks thats for sure. Great school, Great instruction, Great teachers. Im getting little better each day, saftey is still president. The Freightliner fld is a beast of a truck.
