Well Red Deer was the closest place to where I am staying(Stettler). So it was the logical place to go.

Sleeping in, missing jobs, DUI, too many speeding tickets, failed D&A test, nervous breakdowns, injuries, the list is endless.

It's not just Trican that has these problems, it's the Oilfield in general.

Got an offer for winter work, with a possibility it could be year round at $30/hour+OT, running heater truck. Only offer so far. Not sure if I should take it. What do you think???

    Rate seems OK
Means the chance for earning $
    Gain some experience
    Build up oil patch resume

I guess I would do it, to get a start on things.

Monthly salary plus Northern Living Allowance here in Hinton. With a class 1 I believe it's $2800 plus $700. Job bonus's are based on the ticket price of a job. Max bonus is job bonus plus performance bonus roughly around $360 for pumper 1, $420 for pumper 2, overtime after 10 hours on lease at $50 an hour. Meal allowance (tax free) $40 if over 12+ hours, $30 8-12 hours, $20 4+ hours. IIRC.
