There is no true average wage because there are so many variables. Having said that you should be able to 5-6 a month gross nearly anywhere. Spring break can be slow depending on the particular service but even that can be managed.

I'm at home in Vernon pruning my trees right now, was thinking I'm gonna get a few more days home but dispatch says it's still busy so tomorrow heading back to Alberta... Kinda good cause $$$$ are nice this time of year!
I agree nitrogen, that's a pretty vague question, it a big oil patch and so many variables...northboundhound Thanks this. -
thnx netrogen -
Oilfield jobs can gross anything from $60k to $150k and up.
Many many variables.
Mist companies, unless fixed shifts you are on call/on demand 24/7 during your hitch. Leave the phone on. 24/7. -
that's what you can expect to make, coming in with no specific oilfield skills, for a starting wage. the potential for 85-120 is there. with either a 15/6 or 20/10 day off schedule! Show me ANY highway job that nets you that with that kind SCHEDULED time off. If you're willing to relocate to near your job in Ab odds are you can make it home even during your shift if things slow down. Ever had a layover away from home while highway hauling,,,,,,,nah of course not that never happens ha ha

And once experienced, the world is your oyster, so to speak.
Lots of upside to working in AB. Just don't expect companies to be rushing to offer rookies big money and paid rotation gigs. It all takes time, and has to be earned. So many guys that fail to make their first month, rotation, winter, or whatever. Turnover rate is high. You COULD be one of THOSE guys.
AB labour shortage is part myth part reality. The truth lies somewhere in the middle.moe1967 Thanks this. -
Well you guys ,this is good push,I always wanted to make more money since life expenses are getting hi everyday ,i don't mind a low start as long am going for bigger catch .by the way how tough are the scales and DOT ,they pretty tough here in southern ontario.
