Lots of work for owner operators. A tandem truck pulling a triaxle flat deck delivering dry mud to drilling rigs can make around $120.00 an hour after brokerage. Depending on who you work for. 300 hours a month or more if you want it.

Bear in mind if you want to go O/O in the patch that oil companies typically pay in 90 to 120 days so it's not hard to run up a $30,000+ fuel bill on top of regular expenses (truck payment, mortgage, utilities, groceries, etc) while waiting for that first paycheque.

I'll pay you in 30 or less. 10% brokerage. Trucks are making 65 to 70k last two months. That's truck and trailer. Tri drive tractor With a Tri axle tank. We are flat out, balls to the wall, hair straight back. It busier than 2005. Rigs everywhere. And it's not even winter yet.
