The researchers associated the pancreatic cancer risk with beer and spirits/liquor, but not with the intake of wine.

I haven't had any alcohol in about 4 months now. Never was a big drinker so I really don't miss it.

    Nothing new.

“Drinking alcohol increases the risk of cancer. In fact, alcohol use is one of the most important preventable risk factors for cancer, along with tobacco use and excess body weight.”

“Alcohol use accounts for about 5% of all cancers and 4% of all cancer deaths in the United States. But many people don’t know about the link between alcohol and cancer.”

Doctor told me to cut back from drinking 2 box-wines a day. Later said stop, no more, zilch, zero! Guess I'll go doctor shopping now.

I drank pretty heavy for about 23 years. Gave it up 16 months ago and I keep feeling better every day.

An old friend from a job way back called last week. In the hospital with stage 5 kidney failure and diabetes. He admitted he'd been hitting the bottle hard every day since high school.

    He's my age

Woobie, austinmike, silverspur and 2 others Thank this.

Try being a heavy smoker and living with one!

Son is going to follow in her footsteps now so I either need to die soon or plan for another one preaching to me.
He just finished his first year college and is taking extra summer classes now.

    Chinatown Thanks this.
