I'm assuming you're talking about the brake test/pump down.
Alarms
Leaks
Emergency?
Usually the acronym is LAB
Leaks
Alarms
Buttons.
- With engine running, if necessary, pump brakes until both gauges are below 100 to check air governor cut in.
- Air governor should cut out at 120 psi.
- Engine off, key on, window down, wheel chocks in, release both brakes and let stabilize.
- Push brake pedal to the floor and hold for 1 minute. Cannot lose more than 4 psi with a trailer or 3 psi bobtail.
- After 1 minute, pump brakes until alarms come on (60 psi).
- Continue pumping until brake buttons pop out (20 psi). Trailer must come out, tractor doesn't have to.
- Start truck, remove wheel chocks.
- Once you have full pressure, release tractor brakes and tug against trailer. Then set tractor and release trailer t9 check tractor brakes. Some movement is acceptable, provided you stop as soon as you take the truck out of gear.
- Release both brakes, roll forward in 1st gear (3 mph) and apply brakes.
