The amount of people who reek of weed everywhere you go now is sickening.

Whatever people believe, when kids knew they might get a buttt whooping from parents it had a good result. Mainly consequences.

 

So not only does the United States not build walkable towns/cities, thus severely limiting "third spaces" for people to congregate, but now they are limiting restaurant congregation for younger people as well. And the boomers in this thread are celebrating this (because of course they are).

Maybe you like your local businesses closing because parents raise their kids crappy. I don't.

Try going to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore with your family, just to have them accosted, because parents are lazy these days.

Plenty of walkable cities. DC is one of them. I see people walking all the time when I lived there, and when I visit these days.

I like how we get the blame, but not the little brats going into places causing trouble.

The "boomers" in this thread aren't gathering in groups and robbing stores like CVS, Walgreens, etc. Most of us grew up knowing that our actions have consequences.

You're welcome to leave America anytime you want. We won't miss you. They might take your photograph though and deny you entry back in after you realize the rest of the world isn't some utopia. Walkable cities and "third spaces"? I feel so deprived and cheated.
