I guess I'm in a different situation.
No rust anywhere under my truck. Brand new tie rod assembly put in in the last 2 months with plenty of anti seize. Couldn't be easier to turn that one.
Everything is brand new on the backend too, new bushings and all new bolts ready to be unbuckled very rapidly.
Mine would be a "very easy" alignment.
And by the way I have taken apart plenty of Freightliner suspensions that were rusted solid like you can't imagine.
They are very simple and quick to get apart, not like a Hendrickson suspension.
Anyone that has worked on them would know that. You only remove two bolts to put shims in. With that your alignment is finished.

Well to me, alignment means setting the toe in and shimming the rears. To me, that is the actual alignment.
If you need parts, that's extra. If you need anything beyond toe in and shimming the rears, that's extra.
But they should be able to give you a price to check the front end, do the toe in, and shim the rears. -
And you said the MD shop said $350 for that. Parts and labor are extra if it needed anything.

They told me it was 350 to check the front end. Anything beyond that is billed at shop rate.
To me, that sounds like a minimum of $600 to $700 if I am lucky. Probably over $1,000 if I am unlucky. Way more than that if I'm really unlucky.
If they did like those Jokers that I took the truck to and kept the truck there all day maybe I would have gotten a $2,000 bill.
Whenever you go into a shop and they tell you they cannot tell you what it will cost up front, whatever that bill is whatever however high that it is, you have to pay that.
If you go to court the judge will ask you if they told you what it will cost. If you tell them they said they don't know it's just however long it takes he will bang the gavel and tell you to pay it.

except it was the front of my tractor that the guy backed in to.
It took me three times to get out of the bunk and get to the air horn.
Twice I almost got the curtains open and he hit me again throwing me back in to the bunk and against the wall.Cabinover101 Thanks this.
