Hello everyone here is my issue that has been running my head in circle.. I have a 2007 Century Class Freightliner with 800K miles on it (my first truck).. I just purchased this truck about a week ago its pulls and runs great!!! however my running taillights went out so I decided to check the connectors then the fuses.. when I checked the fuses I used another of the same fuse to test to see if it was a fuse issue and it wasn't.. once I put the fuse(s) back to their original slots all of my gauges speedometer, tachometer, oil pressure, fuel, water temp gauges have all stopped responding as well as my A/C which now doesn't blow cold air.. even the temperature mileage etc. buttons on panel wont respond at all.. Now my air gauges are the only ones that work fine.. everything was working 100% fine before I went into the fuse box to check for the taillight fuse.. I took it to the TA Truck stop in Ashland, VA off lewistown and the mechanic checked all the fuses in the passenger dash as well as the ones on the panel by the driver door and all the fuses were good... the mechanic didn't know where to go from there and they were nice enough not to charge me.. He recommended that I take it to a Dealer which suck b/c there are none withing a 150 mi radius from where I'm located :/

Here is a video of my issue.. anyone who has been in a similar situation or that has any ideas on what it could be please feel free to share your thoughts... thanks in advance!!! last 6 of my VIN # are U34036

What Type of fuse was it? i heard there is a fuse where if you pull it can clear somthing on the computer and will have to be reprogramed once that fuse is pulled(As i said HEARD we was told this from my last company). Was it a Big fuse like a big black one? or a small 15amp?

ah yea don't think thats it. Did you have to pull really hard to get it out or somthing? maybe check for a nose wire near the fuse panel could of came lose that truck looked like it had 826k on it so im sure somthing could be lose as wires or bolts. I would start checking all your ground wires All fuses and check near that panel and make sure u put that fuse back in right hole maybe u put it in the wrong one:p

We had many Sterlings (04-07's) that killed the electronic dash when the A/C clutch shorted out. In those cases, it blew the A/C fuse though. For some reason, they used the same circuit to power the ICU. You could try unplugging the A/C clutch and recheck the fuses.

I'd say that you have a power problem somewhere. If it were a data link problem, you'd get a gauge sweep and bulb check, then it would say no data or something similar on the dash.

AC/ has one fuse turned cross/ways next to fuse, look at another truck to line up fuse in order?

*** Thank you all for your responses!!! *** I found the issue and everything is working as normal once again!!! I had took it to TA center and I guess myself ### well as the technician failed to realize that one of the fuses were actually missing.. we were both just concentrating on the fuses that were actually in the sockets.. orz what a ###### moment... however once again thank you all for your time and responses :)

So now we know that the Century's are just like the Sterlings were, A/C and the ICU are on the same circuit. It also seems like they share another problem too, the fuses fall out! Sterling's added a clear plastic fuse retainer to hold them in, which worked for a little while until the dash broke where the screws hold it on. Almost every Sterling I've worked on had zip ties holding it on.

Anyway, thanks for the update, we appreciate when people follow up.

Yep, the hvac front controller needs to see that the air pressure is at least 60 psi to turn the clutch on. The front controller gets a message from the icu saying the air pressure is good. Glad you got it all figured out
