this will be my last try with going over the road with these companies. i'm heading to arnold transportation i hope it works for me? i have spent 6months with ;CRENGLAND, and that was weird and good experience i had they push, push lease on you from day one and if you talk about company driver they dont want to have anything to do with you. as if you have a disease i ask for company solo and they told me that there is no more solo and that i had to either team or lease that's all there is and if you lease you have to take a student or your not going to get the miles. i stayed at england for 6months i was a second seat with a lease operator me and this guy hit it off great we were avg; 5500miles a week he also was paying me out of his pocket $300 if we hit 5000 or better a week he liked the way i ran and he said i didnt have to get off his truck. but all good things come to an end the lease operator got fired from england for log violations he was on a level 5 log violation. no probation just turn in the truck so we drove it to burns harbor,in and i seen the way they did him and i said england is not the company for me so i left.
the past 5months i have been running with a o/o who was contracted with FEDEX CUSTOM CRITICAL everything started out great i was getting .38cents "total" miles i was running north east avg;2200-2750 miles a week easy. and like i said earlier : ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO A END" fedex: will send you dead head alot for next load example: ( i drop a load in orland,fl and fedex dead headed me to roanoke,va)the o/o knew this cause when i got loads or dead head on the c-link he would get a text mess; on his phone and he would approve this on his cell phone then the o/o started crying about to many dead head miles so he did away what total miles and started paying me .25 dead head .38 loaded miles ok no problem. then he started NOT paying me and telling me that ; I DONT HAVE THE MONEY or FEDEX DIDNT PAY ME FOR A TRIP I DID; to make a long story short it was suggested to me from a 20year trucker my buddy to give this guy his truck back. so i did thers more to this story i'll tell it all another time.
i'm heading to to " ARNOLD " and hope this works i have heard good things about them i also heard they are owned by US EXPRESS and all there trucks are automatics, i hope they are better then what i have experience at least they were honest about the miles for a solo driver 1850-2100 a week and i was told freight will p/u and when it does my miles will p/u. i can live with that today.i guess i need to be great full that i'll be working cause things are in bad shape for every one in these times.. i really would like to know if any one has any other info; on ARNOLD and what i can expect
i hope when i start running with ARNOLD; THAT ALL GOOD THINGS DONT COME TO AN END; looking for some input on this ......
All good things come to an end...
