I'm interested in checking in with them as well. Talked to one of the sales people. They really don't take trades, so that's a minus for me, he will put you in touch with a wholesaler who can bid on your trade or sell it yourself. Other than that I think Harrison is a good choice.
You also could check with West Carolina Freightliner as a comparison as they sell Gliders too. I'm sure that Harrison sells them a few.
If you have no trade you are in a better position.
I think that these Gliders with Detroit actually doing the engine rebuild and warranty is probably a better proposition than what Fitzgerald offers. I've heard about some problems with their engines using excessive oil in the early days.
Good luck. -
I've dealt with Harrison back when they were Cedar Valley Freightliner and they're good people. I've heard that they're doing gliders. The biggest difference between Harrison and Fitzgerald is that you can spec a truck to your specific needs as you have access to the entire spec program. With Fitzgerald you pick a truck with their basic o/o specs and their standard W/B. Fitzgerald uses their own cam/injector setup and you would need their blessing for warranty work, Harrison installs a factory built engine which has warranty at any dealer without question.
I also have been thinking that a glider is the way to go and if I had to pick I'd go with Harrison, as stated I have some history with them. Just my two cents. -

Western Carolina buys all their gliders from Harrisons. I bought one from them last month. 14,000mi so far and no problems. Very well built.
