Increased crude oil is the result of speculators in the stock market, that would fall under the SEC's jurisdiction.

The FTC would be responsible for price gouging at the pumps.

Price increase at the pumps right now is directly related to the cost of crude oil. The FTC has no control over the stock market. speculators are able to manipulate the price of the crude through the options market, and with naked short sales. The SEC would have to put a stop to these types of practices.

That however would go against everything the stock market stands for. Some people win big with those gambles, others lose big. The rest of us just get stuck with the aftermath, which usually equates to higher prices.

i read a post somewhere that best described the efforts on people wanting to strike. hell, you cant even get two truck drivers to agree on what place to eat, let alone get every truck on the road to stop at the same time.

You can't even get trucks to band together to boycott certain states, such as Florida - cheap freight - charge high dollar to haul into the state and leave empty.

California - all thir EPA rules and regulations, speed limits, ect. Don't haul in or out.

There are others. But it is a waste of time. Truckers are hauling freight out of Florida for less than $1.00 a mile. Idiots.

Turn that load down in my beutiful state of CALIFORNIA and guess what, ill take it, whith xtra pay! As far as this wannabe strike...the 60's are gone dude, and quit raggin on the different way states operate! If you can't get a load out of CALIFORNIA, ask for one in New York or maybe Maine??? Don't forget good sir, when you enter the wild west, you better be ready to ride!

:Fuel expenses:Just stop the fuel tankers from delivering fuel and it'll be a mandatory strike in effect. Can't get all the truckers to unite then just get all the fuel haulers to unite and not make their fuel deliveries. No fuel in tanks no miles can be driven. :protest:

Share the wealth with everyone then no one would use diesel, we would just have to sit in a full suit made of lead to protect us from radiation.
