I went there often when I ran that part of the country.
Nice Walmart, and you could get through there without tearing anything up - if you were careful.

I also often went in there and right back out again because there were too many trucks there that were blocking most of the correct routes in and out.

Trash is always a problem with truckers, no matter if it a Walmart or a truck stop.
So many just seem to throw their trash out from the window instead of walking 50 feet to a trash can.
I have never understood the disrespect.
A place lets you park there, and you can not be courteous enough to place your trash in a bin?

I parked there overnight once when I drove for Schneider five years ago. As you make the right hand turn to enter in the back, do a complete circle to the rear area and then act like you're leaving. I parked along the building and enjoyed the good wifi signal for a few hours until sack time. Being careful not block the fire exits of course.

The absolute most hostile Walmart I never parked at was the one in Buckeye, AZ. There just isn't any place to park that isn't a fire zone or have "No Trucks" signs! Most of the newer Walmarts are definitely not truck friendly, unless you are Walmart truck driver doing your delivery there.

Well, maybe they don't want the trash problem.

"Trucks parked on ramps, shoulders, other Businesses."
And maybe those truckers should learn to plan their time better to avoid that.

That may be harsh, but I plan my loads with my first priority being - where do I park during the run.
When I get a pplan my first thought is, where do I park along the way and where do I park after the load is finished.
Because I will not be parking on a ramp or shoulder or trying to find my way into another random lot.
If those things don't work out, I refuse the load.

    What?

Walmart is one of the largest holders of commercial retail property and is considered a real estate company.

they lease 15-20% of the properties that the stores are on, the rest they own.

I agree here. If you notice all the newer built Walmarts are built in such a way where parking fornthe 4 wheelers is reduced and its heavy landscaping. It isn't the wide open parking lot that it used to be with the older Walmarts. I see how it looks when they drag the trailers over curbs and the works to get into those stores. I think it's one that did that on Bonehead Truckers lol but if you explore the area in satellite mode you can tell which Walmart locations are truck friendly. It'll be that big huge open lot. The exception is Dunn, NC. There's a tow company that location is contracted with and the guy rides around to keep trucks from parking there. They'll give you about 2 hrs before they tow you, just in case you're shopping. Thats why I had started putting signs in the window letting them know I was in the store at some locations.

I knew if I didn’t correct my post someone would say something.

Yes, they own a large majority but they don’t own all of the land. Especially here in Northeast. They also employ a large number of property management firms to take care of the property. So what I said still stands.

Local regulations are also changing since residents around stores want to dictate what happens on someone else’s property. You better believe they push for no truck parking. There is a Sam’s I deliver to in NY that has a gate blocking access to the rear of the store. The neighbors complained that much. The gate isn’t opened until early morning and is closed at the end of the business day.

People of all types have a general disregard for other people's property or the well being of the earth as a whole.
Truly a sad state of society.
I drive 30 miles away from the larger inner cities when required to shop a Walmart, and it is most likely cleaner with a lesser representation of...

I heard on Landline Now I believe that in Georgia tow companies can't boot you anymore just out of the blue. A trucker sued a tow company and won.
