I take it reefer is alot of sitting and wait.That is good news to hear some positive on them.I think smaller companies are the best.

 

Is there a new driver there from Las Vegas? He's experienced and going to be a trainer.

I just contacted Earl Henderson back this morning and they said my application is good to go... I just need to find out a good date to go.

 

I don't know him. I pretty much keep to myself. I don't know too many people personally.

Vegan Trucker did you go through the complete training and if you did,how long from start to finish with test out?

 

Supposed to be 4 weeks. The state gave us some flak about some paperwork requirements they changed mid class for our CDL's. I've been here going on 6 weeks. But it's all been ironed out and I take my road test on Friday. Plan on 4 weeks in school. Then 3-4 weeks out with a trainer. Since I'm going through company orientation today through Friday, I'll be on the road Monday with a trainer.

You have shared some good advice Vegan Trucker.Its much appreciated and Henderson seems like a top notch company.

 

One man rooms. Queen or king beds. Some even have jacuzzi suites! Pretty clean. The motel is going through renovations so it's in a bit of disarray. But the rooms are very clean and the beds/sheets are the same. Breakfast is a choice of some frozen sausage/eggs that you heat up and put on bread or cereal. They also have apples. There is orange juice, milk and coffee as well. One other thing. They do NOT allow drinking if any kind while in school. And you have to be back at the property by 10pm. You can't have people in your room after 10 either.
