I picked up a load last week (Thursday). I was told the load will be delivered on Saturday (this past weekend). However, I'm still still here nearly a week later. I called the broker, the person who owns the property and the head over the broker, no one has any information! What should I do? How can I get this load off my trailer? I called the warehouse where the load should be delivered to, they told me they already told the broker days ago that they wouldn't be able to take the load because they're all booked. When I told the broker this, he acted surprised! What should I do? I don't know what to do! This is not okay! I'm losing so much money sitting here!

That's a tough one there. They ought to be compensating you for all that down time. Have you talked with a higher up or someone of importance at that brokerage?Trucker61016, slow.rider, TheLoadOut and 1 other person Thank this.

Yes, I Spoke To The Head Over The Broker But He Can Not Provide Any Information. I Told The Broker That I Need To Be Compensated. However, He Said It Will Only Be $300 As A Whole (Not Even $300 A Day) I'm Just Upset Now But Trying To Keep Calm After All This Time.Coffey, Trucker61016, TheLoadOut and 1 other person Thank this.

Goodness driver. That's some ####ty business there. You'll just know who not haul a load for ever again.Coffey, Trucker61016, slow.rider and 2 others Thank this.

Which brokerage is this? No reason to protect their scandalous ways.Coffey and slow.rider Thank this.

Take the load over to some LTL carrier and send it back to the shipper FREIGHT COLLECT.
Coffey, Trucker61016, slow.rider and 3 others Thank this. -
Not a bad idea, but most LTL’s have a cutoff of 20’ or 20,000 lbs that once exceeded they consider truck load. If it’s a 26 pallet load no reason you couldn’t go to 4 different LTLs and tender 6 or 8!skids to each with freight collect and Section 7 signed on a handwritten BOL. Couldn’t say you stole the freight or anything you have proof of where it is. Believe me the LTLs will not deliver without getting their freight charges and will rack up storage and detention on the original shipper very quickly if refused. That’s actually a really good idea. You’d just have to keep your mouth shut when dropping at their docks
