Anybody have any tricks to stop the aluminum grab rails on my truck from leaving my hands grey every time I grab them.

I have washed them but it doesn't seem to work.

Metal polish, bring them back to a mirror shine.

    And cover with car lacquer.

Hah! it is so funny to see Renault Magnum drivers. Handrails are usually dirty, they hand are dirty, and to climb into cabine they have to use both hands, so they usually throw folders with papers inside cabine, some of them hold folder with teeth.... really funny!

best way is to polish and then wax, the wax film will protect you and the aluminum, and will keep the shine trouble free till the next wash.

I would clean them and then spray clear coat over them.

Take them off and paint them with clear paint.
