Like Truckon said, it just all depends on what you haul the most.

In your opinion would there be much savings in fuel for me going this route? Like I mentioned in a earlier post I would be 3000 pounds lighter than my current 40' setup.

IMO, I kinda doubt it, now if you are always close to over gross or over axle I would consider it, but just for fuel savings, I just don't see it.

My recent flatbed job we had 48' Aluminum trailers and i LOVED IT, the had 3 seperate sections of wood planks running down the middle and i could always haul a few more thousand pounds the the other company drivers who all hauled steel trailers.

I know im a newbie in trucking but just from my experience i would take aluminum again if i had the choice

    Just my two cents

Most of my loads are between 7-10 pounds. So not that heavy. I priced a new PJ and it was 15,000. So, a Crossman is basically double. That's a lot of money. After the responses I got posting on here it doesn't seem as though I would save fuel pulling a lighter trailer. However, I can't completely agree with those answers. I think at the end of the day I would save a little on fuel but probably not enough to justify such a expensive trailer

I still pick up loads of PJ trailers made in Sumner, TX. While they may manufacture some in other countries, the ones you buy in the US are made in the US.

Where in Mexico are they made? This thread is the first I heard of PJ trailers being made in Mexico.
