Hey guys I haven't been on here in awhile to post a thread but I wanted to give you guys a update on whats going on in my adventures of trying to find a job. Some of you might remember that back on Sept 1st I was with Trans Am, I decided after OTR training that I wasn't going to fall victim to their lease agreement so I came home. After coming home I started right away looking for another job with a otr company and had my mind set on Squire or May, It was then after talking to those companies that they informed me that the background check was coming back that I had a felony. I was in shock. I have a misdemeanor but 100% sure no felony. Well they didnt want anything to do with me and pretty much called me liars so it seemed, not only those two companies but others as well. I proceeded to call Hireright and dispute the felony and after a couple months I got a letter from them saying my felony has been removed out of their file and it only shows a misdemeanor.
Well I was informed today by a company that they still didnt want to bring me aboard because I was originally charged with a felony, but it was dropped due to no evidence, and it wasn't prosecuted. I couldnt believe that they denied me because of that. They said if I could prove I didnt have a felony then I would be ok, then I prove it and they tell me they wont hire me because I was originally charged with one...what B.S. that is. So here I am now, jobless, still looking for work. I will go about anywhere now to get my 6 months or year in. Hell I shouldve just stayed at Trans Am and toughed it out.
If anyone knows of anyone hiring either OTR or Local out of Lakeland Florida, please let me know. Thanks guys.
Always bad news! Felony charge dropped, still can't get hired

Write them a well-thought-out, professional-looking letter expressing your concerns and your intent to hire with what you are prepared to bring to the table to benefit the company you would like to work for. Also, in that letter, ask for at least an interview as you would like to at least be given the chance to present yourself and what you have to offer. If you are serious about what you want, successful people don't take no for an answer. Just don't be a pest either. Just because they say no now doesn't mean that their answer will always be no. Show you're not going to go away so easily. Believe me, it gets their attention.

Politely request a letter from Hire Right explaining their mistake (tell them why you would like one), make a copy, and send it along with your cover letter and resume to your prospective employer.

Or, if you really want to work for that company, don't give up.
It sounds like they don't understand it was a typographical error.
