otherwise you could be waiting behind someone who is not moving. Today's important lesson.

Depending on the driver.. I would be ok with waiting if they ran their nasty ##S thru the wash rack.

I've seen trucks break down in the fuel island. Make it all the way there just to quit. Roadside assist truck in front, hood up.

Next time I park at the fuel island to take a shower I'll raise the hood and put the flashers on.

Broke down at a pump once as a company driver, pulled in for scheduled fuel stop and truck wouldn't restart. All the fuel had drained out of the filter dome and I spent half an hour repriming the engine, along with some other drivers helping.

Courteous thing to do (rare as that is nowadays) is walk back and tell anybody that pulls in behind you that you are broken down. Hood up at a truck stop doesn't necessarily mean broken down, could be adding fluids or pretripping.

    bzinger and O.Henry Thank this.

I broke down in a fuel island once.
First thing I did was place triangles behind myself so others would know.

    It's just courtesy.
Some of us think that way. Some of us are self absorbed.
