Hi all, just trying to get started on this crazy world of trucking and am considering W as my startup Co. Anyone out there been with them that can give me some insight as to how training truly is and how things go from there. Oh I'll be running out of TX. Thanks.:biggrin_255:

Training it all depends on the trainer you get it could be a nice time ( me) or hell like clumben. Most trainers are in for the money so don't expect it to be dummy proof and is usually 2 months long. We don't call Werner "w" FYI.

I could not have put it any better Ruckie. I got a good trainer but there is not much to show me considering he see's that I can shift and do everything just like I did 3yrs ago. Anyways getting a trainer is a crap shoot just hope he or she is not an idiot.

:biggrin_2556: Wow, ok it just all depends on the trainer. Ok thanks again for your input. I'm still undecided. Werner is still on the back of my mind for now. Although I know I can't wait too long.

I haven't even started school yet and was going to go with Werner but i haven't heard one good word about them or any OTR Co. Now I'm having second thoughts considering all the horror stories I keep reading. It would be total change of career for an older female but I figured at least that can't outsource it. Right? I just don't want any surprises. I know everyone is just out to make money but does that mean we all get ####on. I was so sure that this was for me and was going to start school monday but now I don't know what to do. Can anyone help me with the real story.

    thanks

Living in Mesa I would go with Swift before Werner. Your first year is going to be tough as far as pay goes. But attitude has a lot to do with it. Stay positive and a year later you'll be making decent money.

Real story is that you might get a good or great trainer and have one hell of a nice time with werner, or you get a ***hole likei did and its all hell.

I got a 2010 truck and been on my own for 9 weeks now and out of those nine weeks i have been about 3 weeks inthe shop because the truck keeps breaking down again and again.

You can get lot´s of l´miles or nomiles what so ever, the highest i have made in one week was $750 and the lowest was 84.

I had a great FM and he quit and now i have another one that dont know adam from eve and that sucks so i am looking for another job as we speak.
