I just returned from orientation with Schneider on Jan 1st. I was told by my Driver Business Leader [DBL], to call today and set me up with my portion of the homerun 2 weeks out. I did, and was asked if I was a smoker. I said yes, and was given instructions to call again tomorrow, Wednesday afternoon, to see when a truck would be there.
I really hate to be thinking that I'm being delayed for some reason. I've been told a number of times that SNI does NOT lie. I heard that from other drivers there. I've been treated very well at orientation, and even stopped at the OC in Woodhaven for a few minutes yesterday.
Do I have a problem other than me wanting to get going, and just be a little more patient? Or is this possibly a precursor of future problems?
I'm not the type to jump to conclusions and most the time, give the benefit of the doubt.
Are there any SNI drivers out there that can give me a little insight on my "percieved" problem, and maybe fill me in a bit more on the homerun program?![]()
Am I getting boned?

I've never worked for SNI, and I don't know anything about the homerun program. But I have been in management for another large trucking outfit. I would tend to believe that SNI might have had a truck ready for you if you were a non-smoker. Since you are a smoker, they now have to find a different truck for you, that is not available at the moment. No biggie! Just be patient. There will be lots of miles for you to run with SNI, once you get going. Enjoy what little time you have left at home, before you hit the road!!

Thanks Andrew, I tend to agree with you. I'm just getting a little antsy perhaps? The whole homerun thing is what sold me on SNI, I need to spend as much time at home as I can due to my wifes health. There just isn't anything open up in Barton City.
I KNOW there has to be some other pumpkin drivers on here, the miles can't be that good right now. I need a little more input on the Homerun thing. -
google pumpkindriver that is a website made by current and former drivers at sni.
