I went to C R England to get my CDL. I quit after my phase 1 upgrade. After I quit I was in my personal vehicle and a guy ran a red light t-boning my car. I made a police report not knowing my insurance had expired. I never recieved any tickets and I was not at fault for the accident however my licenses was suspended from 12/25/2013 until 3/25/2014.
Basically I have a suspension on my licenses from a not at fault accident because of no insurance and I have limited driving experience (roughly one month). My CDL is from Indiana and I live close to Chicago. Am I screwed or am I going to be able to find a job? and if so can anyone recommend any company's?
Am I going to have difficulty finding a job?

I take it you say your license was suspended due to no insurance?
You just have to try. Each case is different. Each company is different. In general this isn't a moving violation. The one's they don't want are the one's that show a history for bad driving like a suspension for points or for reckless or DUI driving. Driving on a suspended license is a no go. Something like no insurance they might overlook. -
Agree with Condo... start looking after you get your license back, and keep your nose clean. You absolutely don't want a driving under suspension charge.

TMC, Schneider, Western Express and a few others on here I saw hire with a suspension but I'm sure it's still a case by case bases. Been kind of down because of this, I'm worried about my future. Hopefully I can still find something.
Yeah, Condo. Licenses was suspended from no insurance even though I was not issued a ticket for it at the time of the accident. I called the BMV and they said it's a BMV requirement that it be suspended. I honestly didn't even know the insurance on my car had expired. -
I think you'll be fine, since it wasn't suspended for moving violations or wreckless conduct. But you'll have to go to a training company and start their program from scratch because 1 month experience is the equivalent of no experience.
xai Thanks this. -
You can find a job, but you also need to have your DOT physical entered at the DMV the same time you get your license. As soon as that is complete, start applying. Western Express might give you a 2nd chance; not sure about Schneider or TMC.

I was also reading that a lawyer may be able to get this expunged from my record. Is that possible?
