    You make more as a company driver than a diesel tech? Who are you driving for? Are they looking for anymore diesel tech / drivers? Around her avg pay for diesel tech is $20 hour and drivers $15 more for both by about $7 if union

    I took a pay cut for sure but working 60-70 hours a week my take home is actually more....and it's much more enjoyable. Not to mention the insurance I have now is incredible and it costs me less than $20/week out-of-pocket, almost 5 times cheaper from my last employer.

    Glad it is working out for you and insurance as it can get expensive.

    I hate to add more work hours to make a little better money I like working on my truck projects at the house and spending time with the kids
