Am I out of my mind for wanting to do this ?

Help the guy out and list them so he doesn't choose poorly.

 

We have literally been through this a hundred times, I'm not doing 101.

How can we possibly list every small company near where the OP lives or wants to work? Most 5-10 truck companies don't advertise and they far outnumber the megas.

My company is one of those. Unless you are looking you won't find us. We've been hiring drivers for about a year and just in the last couple months finally got some. Probably 95% of the applicants were unemployable because of driving history. For the right guy we have hired with no experience and eaten the insurance cost for a couple years.

Just have to be willing to drive around and look a little harder to find them.

We have no ads on billboards or radio commercials. Just a sign in the front yard that says were hiring and a couple craigslist ads.

 

So do they just slip the application under the barn door?

The Mega's have everyone fooled. They have large advertising budgets therefore you hear more about them. The question is, why. Why do they need such large recruitment and advertising budgets? Do the leg work and find that hidden diamond.

 

How many pieces of coal do you go through to find that diamond ?
