What is Mac 9? This would be my first gig so I don't know what I should reject or take.

I get your confusion but you'll get whatever you earn over $1,000. When it refers to the "program", it's talking specifically about the program that supplements your pay if the gross is less than $1,000. If your gross is a grand or higher, you don't get the supplement for that week because you don't need it. But you will still get anything over a grand that you earn. Good job reading the contract, though. Most guys don't do that.

Also, like someone else posted, you won't get the supplement if you refuse any loads during the week. You also have to be available at least 5 days of the week to be eligible. Just something to keep in mind.

gives you 3 options: reject, accept, or counter offer.
counter offer means that you see that the times that swift gives you is not doable but you would like the load. so you can put time that you can make it. then it's up to swift if those times are good.

Mac 9 is the macro we use to accept or reject a load.

You would get a preplan that gives all the info on the load.
Pickup and delivery times, distance empty and loaded, notes that apply to that load, etc.

The mac 9 has 3 options...
    1. accept the load
    2. counter the load
    3. reject the load

Option 1 and 3 are simple, but rejecting a load outright requires a valid reason.
Valid reasons for rejecting a load include a home time request and the destination being out of ones region (if you are a regional driver).
There are probably other reasons, but those are what I use most.

Option 2, counter, allows you to put in your own pickup and delivery times.
Some loads are just too tight on time, or pick up or deliver during hours I normally do not drive.
That option allows a driver to input times they feel more comfortable with.
If your times turn out to be acceptable then you are committed to the load, if not the pplan is removed and they will send you something else.

It is a nice system that allows the driver to have quite a bit of control.
