one thing to think about, make sure to drive EXTRA safe even on your own time. its ok to drive at or even a mile below the speed limit, treat spead limits as LIMITS not suggestions.
You want to be extra careful as a CDL holder, thats just my advice though

Lawyer up,LAWYERS HAVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH D.As,a good lawyer will get it REDUCED to a non moving VIOLATION,i dont TRUST COPS,nothing PERSONAL just business been BURNED BY THEM & Know how they WORK,& next TIME SLOW DA F*×× DOWN,remember even when your not driving a TRUCK,your DRIVING A TRUCK!!
& everything u do in or out a TRUCK affects your livelihood, dont like it,give up your CDL and go flip Burgers or wash cars -
Depends on the company you work for or who you apply to. Just don't get another one in 3 years usually.

Sounds like he gave you a fix it ticket. You fix it,violation gets dismissed, pay the court cost and your done. In California, if you get a moving violation while driving as a "Class C" (other than commerical), your allowed to go to traffic school. BUT if the Violation was while you was driving a commercial vehicle, It stays unless you fight it. No traffic school.

Just look up and call a few lawyers up and ask them about your ticket(free consultation) just to make sure for your benefit. It would be silly you paying $200-$300 for a lawyer to fight for a ticket that will not go on your MVR at all, regardless of it being reduced, dismissed or you accepting and paying.
Good luck. -

If you plead guilty more than likely you will only pay the minimum fine and more than likely without knowing it you pled guilty on the officers camera(audio). If you fight a ticket and go in front of the Judge, if you lose you could pay maximum fine. After pleading guilty it will not show up right away it will take a little time to go through DMV. Good luck!

My mom said that back in the day if you got a ticket, you could contest it and more than likely to cop wouldn't show up, so it got dismissed.
I think they are on to that now and require police officers to show up to court.
