Hey.. I stumbled across this site while looking at driving schools.
I'm 38, was just laid off from my sales gig where I pushed telecom equipment and thought that I'd try something COMPLETELY different..
being a trucker would piss my wife off the most so that would be the best choice for me by the looks of it. Afterall, who really has a 'happy' marriage?
I'm Canadian, spend most of my spare time driving around hoping that my kids will fall asleep so why not make a living at it..
my Dad hauled asphalt in a dumptruck with a pup and I always liked going out with him as a kid, plus watching 'smokey and the bandit' a 1000 times always made me wonder if driving a rig would be what I'd end up doing.
I know that it's not going to be easy but I'm going to get my license for the hell of it and see if I like it or not...
I tend to collect licenses.. I'm also a licensed real estate agent and ski instructor..
thanks for letting me get poke around here....
see you on the road.
am I the only CDN n00b?

You live in the GTA and want to drive a truck ?
I've been making regular trips to Solucor in Bradford the past 2 years but I've had about enough of it . I'm looking into staying with loads in KY , TN , and MO where they have sensible speed limits for trucks .
