Where does the W990 have more plastic than the W900? Honest question.

I remember that- Drivers by the thousands were in Shock, We Never seen anything Like it- I didn't start till 89, But Even then- The 'Anteater" wasn't liked by many.

The Freightliner FLD Which took over the Cool ###### FLC model was another Sloped Hood that came in around that time.

Like anything else- It becomes part of the culture.....

Around here of late, I see the foreigners driving the Pete's and W900's that were typically driven by the old school type drivers.

As far as the W990, I've yet to see one in person, and I don't really want to. It looks to me like a millennial trying to be like a baby boomer. And it's kind of a slap in the face of the W900 owners out there.

Farmers too. I see a lot of farms buying these old large cars with 7 million miles on them, pulling their crap tanks to the fields. The farm I worked on bought one, pretty tired, for a song, but it was the fanciest truck he ever drove, and I couldn't help but think, "Oh, Peterbilt 379, you were once so proud, look what you've been reduced to",,

Why is it a slap in the face? W900 has always been my favorite truck, but I like the W990 too, modern style and upgraded interior comfort on the classic truck.

    Oh, and I ain’t a youngster.

That’s what I thought. It’s got a sort of Old school look but with the creature comforts of a t680. Honestly I love the interior of the t680 over all the other trucks.

The anteater was something interesting. But the T2000 series was not a bad truck for us for what we did with them. Even though the medicine loads did not weigh anything. You don't need much. They all went away for a reason. I don't know what that is.
