I was expecting him to say at least 2 feet taller than me!:biggrin_2559::biggrin_25525:

Dynamite comes in small packages, nitro comes in smaller ones . . . take your pick darlin!:biggrin_2559::biggrin_25522:

Lilbit68, I'm only 2 inches taller than you, and I had no problem at all when I started driving back in the 90's. You'll get a lot of surprised looks, probably hear some jokes about height, etc, but it was all in good natured fun when I would hear the stuff. :biggrin_255:

I had a short, baby faced driver who owned a Cab-over Mack, he used to joke it was a walk in sleeper, for him!

He looked all of 12 [was 28 then w/ 3 kids!] and had a good spiel how Pop was home sleeping it off so he cut school and came out to do his work...

He needed blocks on his pedals in that old Mack!

Hey Prairie Boy, What kind of truck was she trying to drive? I know Swift has Kenworths and Volvos. I believe I will do fine. If its a bit hard to reach, then I will glue boards to my clutch.....lol. I am bound and determined to acomplish this. I dont like to fail. I will give it my all.

I hear alot about you on here. And have talked to you too. So it makes me feel a little better that so many drivers are helping and supporting. I love this forum.:biggrin_25514:

Lilbit68... the only things I have had "challenges" with are pushing the clutch all the way in (but as someone said, you only have to do that to start, and a little "scooching" is all you need), and leaning out the window while backing... Some people actually open the door and look out. I cannot do that, but it isn't safe anyway! So you will just have to be a little better at using mirrors and doing your best looking out the window. It can be done. I am only 5'5" and have made these adjustments. When you are pulling it down the road, nobody knows how tall or short you are... we are all doing the same job. Do it well and you will get the respect you deserve!

Not for sure?! My wife is 5'5" the seat in the new prostars has to be all the way down and all the way forward, for her.
In school, there was a woman around 5' she had to lean forward in the seat, and she didn't pass her road test.
Maybe try getting behind the wheel before paying for school?!

Swift also runs Freightliners and the International Prostars.. I think the Kenworths would probably be less common, and Freightliner is probably still the majority. If you get a Volvo, you'll have no problems, at all - they do as much to make those like big cars as humanly possible (although I could do without the self canceling turn signals). The Freightliners should be pretty accommodating, as well. Don't know about the Internationals, and a bit vague on the Kenworths.
