I'm 39 years old and want to change my profession. I've always wanted to drive for a living.. however, I have 1 misdemeanor 7 yrs ago for a half a joint. I use to have a sport bike and riding in a group, 6 of us got pulled over for 120 in a 60 zone. They didn't write us for reckless driving just as speeding.. this was over 2 yrs ago. My previous jobs, I've driven company vehicles but never a ticket in them. Will a company hold it against me or do you know a driving company that will allow me to pursue my interest in a new career.
Am I wasting time

Don’t worry about it. Trucking companies love it when you get a ticket for doing 60 mph over the speed limit.

Well the speeding ticket is probably a problem. I got a 77 in a 40 on my Honda 550 one time. Got roadblocked by the DPS. That was back in 1987 - Good Times!

Trucking companies view that as reckless driving, even if it wasn't on the ticket.
Try Carolina Logistics - www.carolinalogistics.net
You're posting on the wrong thread; you're on the CR England thread. Try the "Questions From New Drivers" thread.
You may have to attend a private cdl school vs. a trucking company school if Carolina Logisstics won't hire you.
Are you located in Alabama?Bama27 Thanks this. -
