you had been complaining about this job of yours for a LONG, LONG time, and you have said you wanted out, and many of us told you TO GET OUT, but yet you stay, for one reason (or excuse) after another.

frankly, YOU ARE the problem, not your boss. YOU PUT YOURSELF INTO THIS SITUATION all on your own, and now you want even more advice, up above and over what many of us had told you in the past!!

man up, and get the heck out of there, and stop your constant complaining about THIS JOB.....

you are a PUSH OVER and that's the truth about it all.

Because farm pick up pays by the run.
The pay is the same no matter if it takes you 8 hrs or 10hrs or more.
Training takes a lot of extra time and completely kills your efficiency.

You miss the point in farm pick up the quicker you complete the run the more money per hour you generate.
Would you like to take 10 or 12 hrs to complete a run when normally you complete it in 8 hrs because of training someone?
And remember it pays the same whether you work 8 or 10 hrs.
It takes a lot of time to not only teach the whole trucking part but in farm pick up you need to know how to take certified milk samples and proper milk temperatures.
There is also a separate test you need to pass to take milk samples.
So a lot of extra work for 0 pay.

    bottomdumpin and Blackshack46 Thank this.

Confront him diplomatically - He clearly respects your standards & want's that level of excellence to be performed by all his drivers. So if he's coming to YOU to set that level, you should be rewarded. Here's another thing you get by having a conversation with him (respectfully of course, he's still your boss but you should always value yourself & anyone should respect that - especially when it benefits them running their company more efficiently)...here's the thing, by having a talk & raising your concerns, you'll know who your dealing with - his character & integrity, if he has any...If he gives false promises or is dishonest or doesn't perceive you as a valuable asset to his company but has no issue exploiting you (if this is the case than its pretty clear this will continue to benefit one person & be milked, literally!), well than you need to start looking elsewhere where you feel respected & properly compensated for your work ethics & the value you bring to the company, once that's secured (on your off time of course or during your 34), give in your notice...People need to respect other people, period...Good Luck & always take care of yourself! Nothing wrong with valuing yourself & what you bring to the table....

If there really is all that extra time involved, sure he should get paid. I don’t believe it adds an extra 3-4 hours to a run like you said, but if it does, then he should be compensated.

I didn't know your post history. Hahaha

I say you do what your boss tells you to do, then ##### about it on this site and name the company for everyone to see. That seems like a good solution. Lol
