In one sense you should be "honored" that your boss appreciates you as a trainer. I've had at least a hundred jobs over the years and all of them I've jumped in feet first and commited myself to that job/boss etc. Hey. I work for you, you give me a job, pay me..I give YOU my best that I know, You can count on me to show up, sober, and get the job done. I'll come in early stay late, whatever. I won't fudge up your equipment or get tickets. You won't get any complaints from any customers. I may even come in on my day off to clean my truck (which I've done many times) or fill in for someone whose called in sick.
Try this this week.....tell bossman you want a week off from training, just you, your truck and the milk barns. see what he says.bottomdumpin and buddyd157 Thank this. -
As a employee I do nothing free. Those “duties as required” are for volunteers.

You see if you do the testing wrong and suck on a farm with bad milk you just contaminated the whole trailer load and it can’t be used period.
Now if you already picked up 7 farms and you load a bad farm on number 8 someone has to pay the previous 7 farmers for their milk that can not be used.
Then add in farm pick up in the winter on narrow back county and town roads with two feet of snow or more on them and you can start to understand this isn’t your everyday freight haulers job.
A lot of responsibilities with farm pick up...Western flyer Thanks this. -
Pretty simple....don’t like it? Leave. You could have another job tomorrow. Sounds like a job that should be paid hourly and not by the load anyways.
