@ad356 - statisicaly a new cdl holder is most at risk of doing something stupid in his first month solo. Then the accident rate plummets until month 5-8 where uou see a spike. Then it drops off until 18-24 months, where accident rates sky rocket. And these aren't the "understandable" accidents.

At my mega carrier drivers with 18-24 months are responsible for the highest number of preventable accidents and the highest cost accidents.

Last fall we had a million miler roll a truck. A few years ago we had a 20 year driver jump the king pin while getting coupled.

It takes one second of lost concentration for something bad to happen.

Don't think its the mega carrier regardless of who there driving with they'd be driving the same way probably never got trained properly and will have to learn the hard way.

It has been a while. I was tired and just followed the guy. I do remember it was on the north side where I did turn around.

A lot of this crap isn't brain farts, it is bad driving habits.

I had another one today who just turn his turn signal on and whipped the truck into my lane while I was going 75, he was going 60. No one behind me, the other truck he passed was five truck lengths in front of him. This has happened a bunch of times, especially when there is an on ramp and a car is spotted on the on ramp, the idiot driver will whip over to the next lane without thinking or realizing the car will be behind or way in front of him.
