I'm not sure on that. All I know is everytime I pickup up load, I get no signal. I have to leave the property before I can get service again.

I only work on information Im told. If I knew that Amazon only runs three trucks or more, my first post will be completely different. If I don't know nothing then whatever I put out is garbage.
Which is why it's difficult to work with Posters in interesting topics because there is never enough information until page two of a given thread when there rest of the story comes out. -
Amazon Chester to Baltimore was paying almost 6 a mile last year to outside carriers. When they need 6 trucks they order 10. Booked two of these loads and both times was cancelled at the gate. They have to be the most inefficient poorly run logistics company I have ever encountered. It always amazes me how the home delivery service works so well after seeing first hand what a clown show the fullfillment centers are.

@x1Heavy Amazon was in existence when you were driving. They've been around since 1994. In the early days they had one DC for the western US and one for the eastern US.
I don't remember where the western DC was but the eastern one was in Campbellsville, KY. I remember running holiday runs as a company driver during Christmas season of 2003 from Campbellsville, KY Amazon to the Horsham, PA United Parcel Service hub.
It was drop and hook. Our company had empties dropped in Horsham and Campbellsville. Hauled light, easy loads 700 miles to PA and pulled empties back 700 miles to KY. At the time I thought it was crazy and didn't realize Amazon paid the same empty as loaded.
I was making bank running paper logs and doing 700 miles a day 7 days a week. I did it for 2 weeks straight took a weekend off and did another 2 weeks straight.
Back in those days taking liberty with logs was no big deal. If a fuel stop matched the same day that was good. The only thing that got iffy was 70 hours in 8 days (or whatever that particular rule is 80 hours in 8 days???? - never come close to burning that many hours in 8 days anymore CRAZINESS but I was young)
That was the best money I ever made as a company driver. It was also lessons for the distant future 10 years later as an o/o. That little nugget is one of the many reasons I tell guys there is no substitute for experience before owner operating. Learn the industry in someone else's truck before you buy one.Last edited: Jan 11, 2017
miss elvee Thanks this. -
If it's happening outside the building, something is fishy. Could just be a dead area at that one location for that provider. -
As a matter of fact I STILL get calls and emails asking us to cover loads. I have to tell them every time we no longer work with them and to remove my cell 'drop dead' number from their dang list for the 1000th time.
Clown car. You guys thought I was kidding? lol.Ruthless Thanks this. -
sealevel and miss elvee Thank this.
