I'm in NC and its burning up. I can idle, but I choose to put in my window screens and open every vent window in the truck. Its still hot and I feel like I'm in a tin can. I think this is borderline inhumane. No wonder why so many people leave after this change.

    Nope.

Tin cans can have a totally open top. It's more like a toaster oven.

All in all, its not that bad. I slept with the screens in and it cooled down in the night.

I bought a set of screens when I got my Cascadia back in June. I'd use them on extremely sunny days until it got to about 55-60. Then even with the fans and all the windows/screens open I was sweating in the truck. The screens are nice on a 60-70 degree night with clear skies and a small breeze. They can make it quite comfortable in the truck.

I've used my screens in all different parts of the country. I've never worried about somebody breaking one and stealing my stuff. They wouldn't get too far before I woke up. I think some of you are worrying a little too much about this.

As for airflow with them in at night, I just close the front curtains. If I need more air I'll slide the curtains forward so they only cover the windshield and then I'll pull out t he center curtains and leave about a foot gap. Nobody can see into the sleeper this way while I'm sleeping.

That's the best way to do it because if you put the screens in the right way, its very hard to move them, let alone break in the truck. I do the total opposite. I close the sleeper curtain and keep the front curtain open. The breeze comes through the top and bottom on the curtain
I also open the two top windows and the bottom vents.

I would sometimes open the top windows on really nice nights during the summer. It allows the heat near the top of the sleeper to get out so it can be replaced by cooler air. I put the covers back on though some time back in October and haven't moved them since. My problem is that the windows are too far back so it's hard to reach them without crawling onto the top bunk. Also the windows on the Cascadias are tiny compared to a Century. I liked the bunk windows on my Century.

I wish we had the side windows on the bottom bunk of the sleeper as well instead of just those little vents. We could get more air flow that way.
