As well he should be. Those are not mistakes, it is a two level assault against the plane and people in it and a greed to get more money. Toss that bad apple onto the street.

Be tough on the pilot to be reduced to pulling out a sky map, unfold it and find the DME, ADS and VOR etc to get to the destination. Alot of it has been reduced to push button in the ####pit for decades. (Interesting censoring that term, it is a push button environment up front inside the pilots compartment)

Truck mechanics more lucky. He can work on three trucks at same time and all three will be charged $ 150 hour. All three trucks will throw same DTC 50 miles after repair. And nothing!

If I understand correctly he plugged the pitot tube. There was no way the aircraft would gotten off the ground without airspeed info. The plane did exactly what the mechanic intended and not take off.
Hope he gets serious jail time.

Well, at least it wasn't the serious issue of the coffee machine not working.
Still blows my mind. Was helping my brother study for his A&P (Airframe and powerplant (aircraft mechanic certification)) one of the required items to fly a commercial plane is a working coffee maker.

How is it going to crash if it doesn’t get off the ground? See my post #5.
He wanted the pilot to abort the take off, bring the plane back to the ramp to clear the blockage and he will then proceed to take 4 hours to fix the issue. He wanted overtime.
Pitot blockage happens naturally. That’s why airliners have two or three.
