Bottom of the list on page 2 . On my hometime taking 10days off going to vetrans club in a few get bored later post some numbers . been doing the same as usual . Consistant revenue miles however are all over the board but thats why i budget based on revenue not miles.

How much money you make on a load means more than how many miles you ran . I have ran 3000 mi made 1200.00 but ive ran 2200 and made 1000.00. I ve also ran 2200 and made 500.00. Budget the revenue you make your better off on the lease as long as its a fixed cost.

I have a friend that just lost 3000.00 out of Maint. account on a 8000 lease because he didnt run enough miles for the QTR. I believe he has to have 32,000 (dont quote me on that). But if he runs over 2200mi a week he should get credit for that to. but instead his truck payment goes up. I would hate to run his budget for sure .

That's a bunch of BS, I would never sign up for that 8000 lease, that's crazy!

I wouldn't let it stop me either Joe. I am no fan of ACT but I think that is exactly how the company intends to pay for all the drivers they are going to lose. You guys who have alot of equity in your trucks shouldn't just hand it over to them. After it is paid for then bolt.

Not a good week so cutting my loses . Moving on to next .

So with that said im basically turning in my loads for this week on a Friday instead of Monday. I personally like to deliver my 1st load of the week on a Monday.

This week I started out good on the 1st load then i hit bottom and i really didnt recover.
The Tuesday load for 840 mi for a Friday delivery . I dropped it in the yard then i was preplanned on a tcall from another driver that broke down. I went 140 miles lost an airbag so that cost me most of the day . Delivered that load preplanned on another load 490 ld 110 mt. ill deliver it in the morning. So this week i have 1692 mi (350 empty mi). spent 1015.94 on fuel.

As far as pay goes i made 461.83 . So i said heck with it dropped 200.00 more in fuel. Ill start my new pay week with 1/2 tank of fuel. Every once in awhle you have weeks like this .

Alot of drivers will just finish the week and turn in there loads on Monday so they can make payroll. But the downside is you start your next pay period delivering 1st load of the week on Wed. by doing that your dependent on the weekend load for paycheck. Some drivers will argue different but 95% of the time i only get 3 loads a week so i gotta make them count. Easier to do that during the week as opposed to the weekend. Where your constantly at the mercy of your weekend load for a paycheck i hate running like that. So thats why i always make my weekend run my 1st load of week 99.9% it delivers Monday.

I keep doing that and eventually as weeks go by you get ahead of payroll and it gives you alot of flexibilty when where and how you run your lease.Takes alot of stress off. I went home last week 10days never went in the hole. I been doing this 3 yrs never missed a truck payment and i get home when i want i just build up my revenue before hometime. Payroll doesnt like it so much ,but im making truck payments deliver all my loads ontime so it is what it is.

    Stay tuned
