Not sure if this is the right forum but ASL is a O/O company mostly and has some company drivers, was wondering any O/O'S know of anybody driving there and how they are doing there, I do know, most of the people there are from the old Packerland Transport and I believe that the O/O'S back then were doing ok. any input would be great, Thanks

If you're one of the old Packerland you can do OK,if not you compete with all the LP trucks. Not what it was when they first started.

It's sad what has become of ASL, just like one of the big company's now. Electronic logs, you have to schedule your time off two weeks in advace. You'll sit around all day waiting for loads. Today I'll be at it for over 19hrs for a crappy 340 miles. My dispatcher won't let me go home (Green Bay) for Christmas. She says I'd have to use vacation time, but I don't have any till June. She also knows that my Mom is going to die soon and doesn't care I can't spend Christmas with her. She said we are a 365 day a year business. Oh by the way I worked every single holiday since last Christmas. Best just to stay away from heartless ########!

I really want to know why anyone would put up with that. Do what you want to do. Drive home and call them to tell them where there truck is. There are so many jobs for great pay, dont waste your time with a company that is treating you like a slave.

Yeah there is no way I would ever put up with that.

Nope me either . I don't condone leaving a truck abandoned but I'd definitely return it and rent a car or take the grey dog home in time for Christmas

Have you talked to Tom? Although ASL is a different company then the old Packerland Transport, When Tom was running the show back then, he would not have put up with that and you seeing your mom for Christmas, even more so with you working all the holiday's before this........

His son Mark is taking over most of his now. ASL only lasted about two years before they changed.(except for a few old Packerland people)
