I have only ever heard about Panera bread, and I don't really like them except for there coffee.

I have gone into Panera bread once and walked right back out. I thought their prices were too high.

Trying to find healthy food on the road is a lost case for me. I have to cook in the truck wether I want it or not. McDonalds is selling some smoothie they call.... that's not healthy for me. I asked them if they could prepare a milk shake with milk, whatever fruits they had (banana, strawberry...) and no sugar.... wishful thinking.... They said their smoothie is made by a machine.... :biggrin_25510: Yeah right, like every food in these fast food places are made by machine.... Yesterday at some fast food restaurant at a truck stop I saw two pizzas, I was dying for a pizza but one was pepperone and the other was bacon... :biggrin_25510: I am vegetarian.... they could have at least one cheese pizza... but they say it wouldn't sell... American idea of food is burgers, fried this, fried that, bacon, lots of cheese and meat and white sugar.... No wonder this is the fatest people in the world and always sick, high blood pressure, diabetes, high colesterol, etc, etc, etc.... I wish restaurants at truck stops would offer more variety of fruits, man made fresh milk shakes, cooked rice, beans, stew of vegetables and legumes.... Wishful thinking again.... most Americans don't even know what legumes are and have no clue how to prepare them.... :biggrin_25513:

They know what they are. They just don't know them by their scientific name or loaded up with sugar and molasses :biggrin_25523:

Glad I am not "Most Americans"
