Interesting people, the ones in Northeast Indiana have multiple main pursuits, some have livestock or raise poultry, others work building recreational vehicles and manufactured housing. The tourist trade is important even in IN but not so much in this area

They obey the Sabbath locally, but anywhere they can show difference, they seem to do it with glee, like the girls wearing the garb, but with the brightest colored and most outrageous sneaker type shoes I have seen, maybe the contrast made it seem more of a departure than it really was.

Around here, many of them are in the building trades, a group of them reroofed the house here, others build sheds and barns (mostly pole barns now), and many others do outside framing for additions and remodeling.

They have their troubles, some of which tend to overwhelm the community, but they largely take care of their own, the elderly don't get warehoused in nursing homes, for one.

    I enjoy meeting them.

Bread too. Bought several comforters from a hoot widow over the years. She lived in a community between great falls and Lewistown.

People in Townsend just seemed to have bad attitudes.
Choteau was more upbeat but forget about finding a decent job there ...still talk to my ex gf there and she says people are moving out .
