An app for truckers!

    Hi. We are three Swedish students who are asked to do an app for truckers in the US(don´t ask). The original purpose of the app was a chat client where you could create a chat room on a map, and set a topic for the chat room. For example, if you want to discuss skiing in Whistler, you create a chat room over that area, name it "Skiing" and thats that.

    Now, we are asked to develop it to US truckers. The problem is that we do not really know what features it should have. The purpose is obviously to let you guys communicate with each other. For example, maybe you want to know the status of something somewhere, and then create a chat room there and talk. Maybe you want to know if the food in a certain place is nice, or whatever. Do you have any other ideas?

    Let me check my logbook

    Truck wash locations (other than the big companies like Blue Beacon), where to get pallets for pallet exchange, areas to park other than truck stops, and good and bad mechanics are a few that I can think of off the top of my head with very little caffeine in my system.

    I'm sure others will be in soon with some other suggestions!

    Another one that could be good is early arrival time shippers/receivers, those that will only let you show up a certain amount of time before your appointment, etc. Some places will only let you show up an hour early.

    Also, shippers/receivers that allow parking for a driver to get their 10 hour break in.
