I was just thinking (actually talking to a buddy of mine) in all drivers opinion what state is the worst to drive in, pick-up and drop off loads?
An important question!

That's hard to say which state. Each state has cities that bite to PU and Unload in.
-
Hundreds of drivers, hundreds of different answers. Depends on the trailer and associated freight too.
So far, I can't complain about any of them, but I usually only run North and South, in the middle of the country. -
California because of all the BS rules and New York because of all the traffic in the city...
-
From what all my buddies tell me most say NYC and Canada
-
One thing i will say about California they have probably the most S*itty truck stops ever!
-
As the Gibb brothers sang,"Wish they all could be Californian loads"! Not.

Miami, port of Miami, are two places i never really liked.
Chicago, Washington DC, Compton CA, Baltimore MD, Detroit MI, nearly every city in NJ,
Quebec, Toronto,
that's about all i got for now......
this is why line haul worked out so well for me, terminal to terminal.... -
Well, I gotta defend Ca. as far as trucking goes. There are probably only 3 or 4 low over passes in the whole state. The lanes are wide enough for trucks and parking is plentiful, IF, you know how to find it. Cops won't bother you if you park on shoulders and off ramps (away from the fog line). Yeah, I know, traffic is a bear in the big cities like L.A. and San Fran. and there are some very old warehouses in Vernon and downtown, but compared to Chicago/Philly/The Bronx and other places, it's a dream. And I'll admit I'm from Ca. and have driven here all my life, so I'm biased.
