For what it’s worth I hope for the best for Snackbar also. He’s just been with so many different mega’s with the same results he just needs to take a breath and realize that most of them are all the same. One company may look good but it doesn’t matter what name is on the door anymore. They are all about the same. Unless he finds a private fleet that lets him stay out for a month at a time he won’t be happy. And most won’t allow that. He will find peace eventually hopefully.

I’m also Team Snackbar. I know some get on him about being negative, but if I quit a company that got bought out cuz it sucked, and then went to a company I liked, only for them to get bought out by the aforementioned company, I’d be pissed like pampers too. #teamsnackbar

I believe he was there shortly before I left but the job site was a muddy mess and I was sent out a different gate then I came in. I never actually saw him, I also didn’t see any of the Stuff the other guy had. But they probably had 100 truck loads of equipment in that open building, I could have missed it.
My truck had an exhaust pressure sensor fail. 24 hours and $950 bucks later I was back on the road. $950 to literally unhook one connector, unscrew a sensor, thread the new one in, hook the wire back up, and clear the codes. Freaking crazy.
I was very fortunate that Sioux City could get me in that quick. Sioux Falls said it would be a week before they could look at me. -
Completely agree. I work for a private company and am satisfied at every level.
The problem with getting into a smaller, private fleet is that you need to have connections to people in that company who can refer you. These aren’t places that put up ads looking to wade through 500 resumes. If a good worker refers you, you’ll get a spot
As an OTR driver, it’s more difficult to you establish relationships. A rolling stone gathers no moss, and the color of moss is green.Deleon, D.Tibbitt, Bumper and 1 other person Thank this. -
But that isn't what happened in this scenario. SPD & Wylie are both Daseke company's and they are pairing them at the corporate level because it makes more sense than keeping them paired with RMG, a dry van outfit. Once it was announced and before anything changed for the better or worse, he immediately started his downward spiral.Gearjammin' Penguin, Old_n_gray, JohnBoy and 3 others Thank this.

He needs to get out of trucking altogether. My suggestion would be to hire a ghost writer and chronicle his last 30 years in this fabulous industry. I’m sure there’s a publishing house in Manhattan that will advance him some coin for what undoubtedly would be a best seller. Hell, I’d write the forward. He could call it, “30 years stuck in the wheel of trucking, like the mouse.”

I doubt very much he’ll fail. He’s like the rest of us, been in it too long, the only thing we know is to succeed.Old_n_gray, ncmickey, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this.
